I’m kind of a little worried that my pictures are getting a little samey as I’m not the world’s fastest knitter or sewer. But it is what it is and maybe I should start posting other pictures on Instagram other stitching pics. I also resolve to start using Instastories more to show progress on work as I feel that I’m not using that enough, I would have stuck to Snapchat but I joined to late and I don’t really want to repeat content across the net to much plus I’m digital streamlining at the moment to make more time.
Anyway enough rambling what did I stitch this week, well I worked on some new work stuff which to be honest I’m feeling a little underwhelmed by. Maybe it’s February Funk and it’s not as bad as I think it but I’m not feeling very original in my work right now and in need in of a serious injection of inspiration.
50/265 – I finally started on the second sleeve of the Salal cardigan
51/365 – I managed to find a copy of volume 1 of a stitch in time that was cheaper with postage from France than over here in the UK. So lots of vintage knitting planning going on.
52/365 – Still working on these purses/pouches using up scraps of material.
53/365 – Finally finished the Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots Cardigan, just need to find some decent buttons and block it.
54/365 – A little bit of lunchtime swatching with the gorgeous pistachio green aran by Paintbox.
55/365 – Friday night cast on whilst watching The X Files, turns out I stopped watching after season 6! We’re currently on season 7, got a good start on the Nuuk sweater from Laine magazine. I have no idea what tutorial I watched but I’ve totally been doing my kfbs wrong which would explain why my Miette cardigan looks a total mess! Thankfully youtube has loads of good tutorials on it.
56/365 – Picked up some more craft books in the charity shop on the way to the post office. Maybe I’ll learn how to crochet properly by the time next winter comes and a book of shirtmaking techniques to help develop my skills.
I’ve been knitting a lot this week but I’m hoping to sit down and do a decent amount of sewing next week to make headway on stock for the shop. I’ve probably missed the Valentines deadline (I always do) but everyone likes hearts all year round right?
